Jeffrey Dinkle, President, Eco Custom Homes

Mr. Dinkle’s roots in the Atlanta building community began with renovating older homes. His passion for creating better quality living environments by rehabilitating older homes without cutting corners soon gave way for the founding of ICON Development. ICON Development built new custom homes in the manner in which Dinkle built his reputation – no skimping and building homes in the manner in which he and his family choose to live.

Five years ago, Mr. Dinkle trained with Southface and invested his time in learning the Earthcraft principals and best practices. This education along with his two degrees from Emory University in Economics and Sociology may well be the underlying differentiators in what makes his present company, Eco Custom Homes, the leader in sustainable, semi-custom homes – efficient, high performance structure coupled with comfortable living.

As a leader in Atlanta in sustainable construction, Dinkle has numerous industry affiliations and charitable ties to the community. Mr. Dinkle and Eco Custom Homes are members of GAHBA, Southface, and USGBC. This includes the ICC Residential Certification and a dual Georgia Building License allowing both residential and commercial construction.

Mr. Dinkle is a Board member of First Montessori School of Atlanta (FMSA) and as such is involved in the design construction of two sustainable buildings on the Atlanta campus. Additionally at FMSA, Dinkle heads up the team developing their North Georgia LAND School campus. Other notable charities include The Carlos Museum at Emory, the High Museum of Art and support for the IRC.
